6 Months!

Happy Half A Year Birthday Cal! How are you already 6 months old?!

6 Month Stats:
Weight: 14 lbs. 1 oz. (2%)
Length: 25.39 in.  (7%)
Head Circumference: 17 in. (44%)

Clothes: Calvin is wearing 3 month and 3-6 month clothes and just switched over to size 2 diapers.

Current Nicknames:
Super Cal
Cal Pal
Cal Paolantonio
Calvs
Brother

Sleep: Something clicked and sleep has gotten a lot easier this month. We are working to get Calvin to 3 naps a day but he sometimes still needs 4 if he wakes up early or doesn't take long naps. He is sleeping in our room in the bassinet and is still swaddled but with one arm out. We are going to move him to his own room in the next week… why is this so hard for me?!
Typical Day-
8:00 Wake up
10:00 Nap
1:00 Nap (He sleeps 30 mins, eats and then sleeps more)
4:30 Nap
7:30 Bath, Book, Eat and Sleep- usually is asleep by 8:30 on a good night but sometimes 9/9:30
He wakes up 1 or 2 times a night.
Calvin's awake time is about 1 1/2-2 hours.

Playtime and Activities: Calvin got a jumper this month which has been really fun and he still loves his activity mat. He is playing with his toys a lot- he likes balls, tag blanket, elephant and owl. He grabs them, holds them and chews on them :) It has also been really fun to see Calvin and Christian play together. C likes to lay down next to Calvin on his mat and they giggle and look at toys together. Calvin took his first trip to the cabin this month, tagged along on lots of park trips, walks and play dates.

Development: Calvin can roll from his back to his tummy and not so much the other way around. So he  is usually found playing on his tummy, screaming. He loves to squeal constantly, smile and laugh. He will grab and play with his toes and reach for toys. He doesn't like tummy time but can hold his head up about 45 degrees on his tummy and has good control when being held. He is still exclusively breastfeeding. His acid reflux is getting so much better and only needs medicine every few days.

Calvin's Quirks and Favorites:
He laughs the hardest when you sing "What does the fox say?"
He loves to have you touch his nose.
He wakes up happy, even in the middle of the night!
He started sucking on his two fingers and all of a sudden likes the pacifier
He screams ALL THE TIME and it is a happy scream! :)
He is the most chill baby- always  happy... unless he is tired
He is most ticklish on his neck

Racing Off to Dreamland

Oh these boys! I love how much they love each other. I can not get enough of the matching jammies either. :) Daddy was out of town so we decided that we should end our night with baths, matching pjs and a photo shoot! I pray that they will always find so much joy in each other and fill our home with lots of giggles and smiles.

Mother's Day Photos 2015

Each year, Alicia blesses the ladies in our church by providing professional pictures of us with our kids, or moms or grandmas. Each year I look forward to getting these pictures as they always turn out beautifully. This year was no exception! I love my boys and am so blessed to be their Mama :)

5 months

Stats: Weight- 13.2 lbs.

Clothes: Calvin is wearing 3 month clothes and size one diapers. I love seeing him in so many of the outfits that Christian wore! I have pulled out the 3-6 month clothes and size 2 diapers since we will be transitioning soon.

Sleep: Sweet boy still fights evening sleep from around 7-11 and wants to be held. We did get him to sleep in the swing a few times then which was amazing! :) He sleeps in the pack and play in our room and still loves to be swaddled. His wake time is usually no more than an hour to an hour and a half.
Typical "schedule":
8:00am wake up
9:30am Nap
12:00pm Nap
3:00pm Nap (sometimes this nap merges with the 12:00 with a feeding in the middle)
5:00 or 6:00 pm Nap
7:00 Bath and get ready for bed then fight sleep for 3+ hours…
Wakes up between 4:00am and 6:00am to eat

Activities: We have been enjoying walks and going to the park. Calvin naps so well in the Ergo which makes us able to get out a bit more often. He still loves the activity mat and tried the bumbo for the first time.  We celebrated Calvin's first Easter this month.

Development: Calvin has made a huge leap in head control the last few weeks. When he is on his tummy, he will lift it about 45 degrees but is more stable when being held. He rolled over this month and usually rolls more easily from his back to stomach. He loves to smile and giggle but doesn't have any big laughs yet. (Maybe he will always be a quiet giggler :) ) He loves blowing raspberries and is very ticklish! This month he also held onto a toy for the first time- a bowling pin handed to him by his brother!

Stitch Fix #2

I was so excited to receive my second Stitch Fix this week. I was hoping to add some fun spring items to my closet.
Below is a note from my stylist for this fix. I was given a new stylist this time and again I feel like she nailed my style. I loved to read that my Pinterest board was used as inspiration and was even sent a specific item that I had pinned!

Here is a look at the five items I was sent:
*Stanley Raglan Top
*Moni Geo Print Blouse (sent with cami to go underneath! This was the item I had pinned)
*Haiden Straight Leg Jeans
*Alen French Terry Asymmetrical Zip Cardigan
*Corinna Striped Dolman Top

What I returned:
*Haiden Straight Leg Jeans- I loved the jeans but unfortunately the waist was too big so I sent them back
*Moni Geo Print Blouse- This was a really fun shirt but the sleeves just didn't fit quite right
*Corinna Striped Top- I loved this shirt but due to keeping on a budget, I decided to send it back this time. I did ask to get it later in another fix. I love that get to make specific comments and requests on each item I was sent and on the fix overall.

What I Kept:

*Stanley Raglan Top- I love that this is a shirt I can wear everyday, its super comfortable and fun that the whole back is striped.

* Alen French Terry Asymmetrical Zip Cardigan- This was my splurge :) It was a bit more expensive than I normally would spend but I think it will be well worth it. This top is a soft jersey like material but is very heavy. It can be wear open as a cardigan or zipped up the side. I love that I can wear this over a dress or with yoga pants and it works!

Want to try it yourself? Sign up here and help me out on my next fix too! :)

Tulips!

We made a trip over to see the tulips with some friends. It was gorgeous! It basically turned out to be a photo shoot :) Rayleigh and Christian had a blast smiling in the tulips, hugging, giggling and running around. After exploring the flowers, we enjoyed a treat of kettle corn! :)

Four Months

Four Month Stats:
Weight: 11 lbs 9 oz (3% or 27% adjusted)
Length: 24 in (18% or 69% adjusted)
Head Circumference: 16.02 in. (14% or 50% adjusted)

Clothes: You are in 0-3 month and 3 month clothes and are wearing size 1 diapers. I had the hardest time packing away your sweet newborn clothes but it is always fun to pull our new outfits that I remember Christian wearing too.

Eating: You of course are still breastfeeding, though you now eat every 2-3 hours during the day depending on your naps. For you, sweet boy, I am still off of dairy, soy and eggs.

Playtime/Activities: You love your activity mat and anytime you can watch your brother. This past month you have joined us on playmates, gone to church (though most of the services we are up in the nursing room!) and decided you hate grocery shopping. (Thank you Amazon Fresh!) We had to take you to Urgent Care this month after you refused to eat for 12 hours are had a 101 fever. Thankfully it was a quick virus!

Sleep: These past few weeks we have really be working on your daytime sleep, which has helped your nighttime sleep too. After being awake for an hour, you are ready to start getting easy to go back to sleep and love being swaddle. I call it your miracle blanket and know if you are fussy, it will immediately calm you down. You take about 4 naps a day, each one anywhere from 30-90 mins. Your best nap is in the morning. You usually wake up 2 times in the night and are up for the day around 9. With your reflux we will have to hold you up for about 30 mins after you eat.

Development: You have come alive! You are always smiling and babbling and have the biggest best dimple. Just in the past week you have started to giggle, although it is not a full blown laugh yet. You can hold up your head pretty well while being held but refuse to lift it up while doing tummy time. You are starting to reach for toys and have accidentally rolled over from your back to tummy a few times.
