I can not believe that I am writing Christian's one year update! What a year this has been and when I reflect back on all that C has been through, accomplished, and learned I am blown away. He truly brings us so much joy and I love him more that I could have ever imagined.
Clothes: Christian is in 9-12 month clothes and size 3 diapers
This kid has become so active and inquisitive. He loves to put toys in baskets and take them out. He studies each one and definitely has an opinion now as to what books he wants to read and what toys he wants to play with and makes that known. Blocks are still a favorite but I also love that he will just sit on his own and flip through books.
Christian has 4 teeth, two on top and two on the bottom. The top teeth make him look so much older! He is crawling and cruising. He loves to point things out and is constantly jabbering. He has started to mimic what we say which is really fun. His first official word was "dada" followed closely with "mama" and "yeah". His helmet therapy is going great and this one seems to fit him well and he is already making progress.
Wake up- 6:30ish
Naps- 9 and 1:30

Yesterday we went on a hunt for the perfect Christmas tree. Kerry took the afternoon off of work and we headed out to the local nursery where we have gotten our tree since we have been married. ( we did decided that once C is older we will need to pick a more festive spot!)
We found it! Christian was so funny and nervous about touching the tree...but now that it is home he loves to look at it and points it out each time he sees it. :) We are so glad to get to share these Christmas traditions with this little guy this year!

Clothes: Christian is in 9 month clothes and size 3 diapers
Christian loves to explore and play. Each morning he plays with his blocks in bed while his mom and dad get to rest for a few more minutes. He loves his stuffed animals and playing at his new activity table. He is just as happy playing at home as he is out running errands with mama!
Christian has 2 1/2 teeth... His top tooth is just starting to slowly poke through. He is officially crawling! It was fun to watch this progression from army crawling to the "jack knife" crawl to up on all fours. HE is pulling himself up and even with occasionally stand on his own for a few seconds. He squeals in delight every time he is up! C got his helmet this month to help with his head shape although we have had some issues with the fit so the precess seems to be moving slower than we would like. C loves to violently nod his head and say "yeah" and is SO close to officially saying mama or dada :)
Eating: breast milk, avocado, rice cereal, oatmeal, banana, sweet potato, carrots, applesauce, pears, peas, green beans, blueberries, squash, puffs, cheerios, pasta, quinoa, corn, chicken, little cremes, prunes, beef, pumpkin, black beans, hummus, toast, cherrios, chickpeas

We spent Saturday morning as a family with a coffee date to Spotted Cow.
My boys enjoying each others company, giggling and being goofy :)
Mmmm Mum Mums!
It is so fun to do simple things like this as a family. Christian loves to be out and people watch and he of course always is finding someone to "flirt" with and giggle at :)

I was blessed with the opportunity to join Kerry in Palm Desert last week as he attended a conference. Any excuse or reason to go to California I take because my best friend Katie is there! Even more special was that I finally got to meet her little guy Isaiah! Katie is truly one of those friends that you know, no matter how far apart we may live from each other, we will always be forever friends and my hope is that Isaiah and Christian form a special friendship too through the years.
Here is photo journey of our trip!
Their first meeting :)
can i play with him?
cutie patooties in plaid
let's hug and be forever friends... ok?
The four of us!
One of my favorite parts about this trip was that Katie and I really didn't go out and DO anything. Instead we just did the "mom thing" together and did life. Man, I wish we could do this all the time!
Sweet Isaiah... your Auntie Katelyn already loves you!
Christian became quite the crawler on this trip and even sat up from laying down for the first time!
A walk to the pool
gazing at each other.... notice I am having to hold C's hands down. He wasted to grab Isaiah SO BAD!
swimming with mama
They boys at dinner the last night... missing Isaiah though who was sleeping :)
the whole gang!
Thanks for a fun week Katie!

Weight: 18.7 lbs (5-10 %)
Clothes: Christian has been growing like a weed and is in 6-9 month clothes.
This is one active baby boy! He loves to roll, army crawl and have you hold his hands to stand. I had to buy him some new toys this month as he out grew all of his infant toys. The stuffed rattle just wasn't cutting it! He loves playing with blocks and still loves to jump in the jump and go.
Christian has 2 teeth. (The second one popped through days after the first) He is army crawling, can sit from laying down, learned to open doors and drawers and pulled himself up to stand on the ottoman. He has become so much more mobile this month it amazes me every day! He also will give high fives, clap and sign more. Looks like "dada" is in the lead for most said "word" but I am still pushing for "mama". :)
I love sleep training.
Ok well I love the RESULT of sleep training!
After 2 nights christian is now falling sleep on his own without a single peep and sleeps through the night. Praise Jesus! It is amazing what a full nights sleep does for a person!
Wake up- 6:45ish
Naps- 9 and 1:30
Bed- 7:00 with maybe one wake up around 5 but he falls right back to sleep
