"DAD" Photo Canvas

This year for Father's Day I wanted to make something special for Kerry to put up in his office so he could see C's smiling face even when he was away. :) I saw similar ideas of a photo canvas on Pinterest and knew it would be perfect... I just added my own spin! I grabbed my supplies, did a quick photo shoot and voila!

Step 1: First I painted a canvas with black acrylic paint. I wooly needed to do one coat because I used such a dark color.

Step 2: Print out pictures onto card stock and cut out. (I was able to edit mine to have blurred edges and the vignette feel on my Mac) Cut out coordinating scrap book paper slightly larger than the pictures.

Step 3: Mod Podge the scrapbook paper onto the canvas and let it dry.

Step 4: Mod Podge the pictures onto the scrapbook paper and cover the whole canvas in a layer of Mod Podge. To reduce bubbles, make sure you smooth out the paper with your brush as you go. The bubbles also reduced as it dried.

Step 5: Embellish! I added felt flowers, made using this tutorial

I love how it turned out and how ADORABLE C looks in his pictures!
